On mine I go into signature under my username and click on the paper clip and past it to the Image URL

Josh, I copied the image from your Photobucket page and dropped it into your signature. If you want to change it simply change the URL shown between the two "" tags. When you go into your signature you can add some text, name, etc just above the image.

I've also added some code to the site that automatically resizes images. So even though Josh's image was huge it gets resized when the page is viewed. This prevents a massive image from filling the whole screen.

Thanks a million, Ken! It's cool that images get automatically resized. I guess I'll never know what I was doing wrong. Probably wasn't clicking the right things or maybe forgetting to try "right" clicking on things. As I understand right clicking, it gives more options in a dropdown box. I will continue working with posting regular photos to the forum as well. I was using "paint" on the previous version of our forum to post pictures.

Oh, that looks so much better!

FLHT, when I go to my signature I don't see a paperclip. Just above the picture are icons for letter styles, fonts, alignment of text, a smily face, arrows, etc.
    Where's the paperclip?

Thanks for all the help, boys. I think since I have Windows Vista, my computer may be a bit dated? Did I mention that I'm still  about pasting? I know a little about paste - I used to eat it in elementary school - yup, I was one of those paste eaters LOL, until a kid told me my insides would get all glued up. I chewed erasers, too. The things kids do . . .

I know I oughta get an "Idiot" book on computers, but I just can't make myself read what I'm sure will be a mind numbing 2" thick book full of strange terminology.

True enough. I'm going to take some pics today while out riding and see if I can get them on the forum.

its easy JB, go to your PB account, bring up the image
to the right you'll see 4 option boxes, one says URL

click in that box, it should turn yellow and say "copied"

Come back here and paste that into your post.

    all ya gotta do

If all you want is to post a picture you don't even need to use

Just go to upload a file when you are typing a new post and are finished. It's at the bottom where you are typing a message. Click it on and follow the directions. You also need to be sure that the photo is not to huge.

Now if your talking about for you signature pic, ken has a explanation on here for that.
