CB depends on what ya like and duals can be made to work very well

JB I'm talking about the ST mufflers, if you get them run 9 to 12 disks on each side.

I get that, and no I don't want discs..... just mufflers. Sounds like the ST's are just too fancy for my liking....

You want the disks, they are in the end of theST muffler and part
of the muffler also they allow your tuner buddy to fine tune the bike,
any dips he can tune out, get it to run even better
and they work... You'll never know they are there
otherwise, it's part of the product,

How much do those mufflers run? Am I correct that exhaust pitch will change with the amount of discs that are put in?

From experience, the sound changes slightly. The discs ARE the baffles, no discs = no baffles. By adding or subtracting discs the back-pressure is adjusted. If you have a carb + ST pipes, your bike is extremely adjustable by a tuner. Just saying

Another question. Are there a set of baffles that I can use other than my BCT that will promote power that I can put into my current mufflers other than ST's?

It had 50,000 on it, and I wanted a new one.
Dealer said the dude that bought it rides it to work everyday.

It is one of the nicest bikes I've ever owned......
    Kinda miss it sometimes.

50,000 miles is nothing if you like the bike. I had an '85 FL with 225,000 on it and still running strong when I sold it. Never did an overhaul, just cam and lifter change. Wish I'd kept it too, but no room in the garage. I still consider my '08 a "new one".

I can't tell the difference the frame supposedly makes riding a new one. And I'm running a 170 tire on the rear of mine. Can't say much about all the extra goodies on the Ultra as I feel I don't need them.

I've got mine equipped with the necessities for long travel: nice seat, big windshield, removable tour-pak, Ultra shocks, h.i.d. lights, cruise, radar, gps, killer stereo with Sirius/XM, abs, etc. 1,000 mile days are not as tiresome as you would think. But some of those miles get lonely, so it's nice to have the goodies.
