Thanks My son is getting me a spoke wheel for the rear for christmas, I found one & he's getting it for me :D, then on to fitting the new tins , I plan on dropping the rear about 1in & if I 'am not happy with just that drop & put a 2 over set of legs on her , still not sure if I'am going gloss black or mid night purple , I talked to chuck awhile back about doing the midnight purple , it flips from a real dark purple to black

Heh,I'm going the opposite way with my Heritage...getting rid of the laced rear wheel and putting a mag wheel on,my reasoning is you can barely see the wheel with the bags on and it's a huge PIA fixing a flat on the road with a laced rear wheel(and no loose spokes to adjust)...with the mag wheel you can just plug and pump and you're on your way again:cool:

The purple sounds like it would be very:cool::D

Yep, years ago I dealt with spokes and then moved to cast wheels. For me, never again spokes. No doubt, shiny chrome spokes look great and classic but I want to ride rather then clean, tighten, true and patch tubes. But, heck, JMO!

Looking good Cowboy. I'm thinking about going with a full Heritage rear fender too. The bolt holes will line up with my FXWG fender struts, but I'll have to modify the front of it somehow. I think I'll keep my aftermarket front fender though, I think it looks better with the skinny front wheel. Keep posting pictures!

LOL....$80 wheel is the way I'd go too...can't remember what I paid for the wheel I got,it's a same vintage(late '80's early '90's) FXR wheel with the rotor and 70 tooth pulley, knowing me I didn't pay a lot(cheap azzed bastard I am:D) new bearings and check spacer and it's good to go....
