I wear a Modular full crash helmet.
I had to close my face shield at 70mph on it the wind was so bad.

My buddy said it was really bad on him too.

On bikes like a 07 bike I had I took the factory computer off and put a Thundermax on the bike and it ran difference in Night and Day.
The computer controlls a lot more than you think on the new bikes.

Yep they do but there is no difference between the 10 and the 09 computer or motor according to the head mechanic at the local HD dealer. :)

The changed the ECm from the one on the 07 models to the 08 models.
Even the Plugs on the ECM are different.

You can git a Power commander for the 08 model retrofit kit, and theres anotherdifferent unit for the 09 model.

But they haven't come out with a unit for the 2010 model.

    I had a 07 models.
    Got a 08 FLHT TBW

I do not know the main difference but I could tell the 2010 had more power than the 09 Ultra I rode. My buddy even rode the 09 and 2010 with me and he said the same thing about the touring bikes.

I think there could there could be many factory that can make one bike feel different than another. I have rode the 2010 Ultra then got back on my 09 and noticed my 09 had more power. It has a strage one download with SE air cleaner and pipes. But felt the 2010 was about the same as my 09 was before the upgrades.

When yer comparing a Stock bike you can only compare it to a stock bike.
    Stock bikes are EPA bikes.
When you start changin the air breathers etc you start opening up the motor to breath better.

I rode a 09 Se Ultra and Rode a 2010 SE Ultra and there was a difference in them also.

Were waitin on more demo days to go back and ride the bikes again and again.

Too bad I won't have a 09 and 2010 model to git on and off of to see how much difference there is.
Only a dyno can problay show the difference.

But I remember how the Ultra rode last year. It ran good, but the 2010 just felt stronger and I do a lot of ridin and ride a lot of different bikes.
I can tell a big difference in the frames on the 08 modles to the 09 and 2010 models.

I remember the Service manager said the gearing on the 09 and 2010 are the same but the gears are not interchangable. The 2010 gears were made somewhere else.

Yea, my 09 ride is way different than my 07 was and I really like the new frame and the big tire on the back. But then I love riding my 01 Springer to, except when I hit a hole or bump in the road, feels like somebody just punched my kidneys. I ride a lot to and can feel the difference between bikes when i ride one. I did like the power on the 2010 with the 103 and hope to someday maybe have one. I've been hearing from a couple of dealer owners that the 103 may be the stock engine next year. I'll be hopefully retiring in a few years (my body says now) and need to get one last new bike.

I like the street glide, but I ride a slammed bike and they jar my kidneys pretty bad.
hear yer front tire that is like a 407 tire, they done had a recall and now they have a reverse thread and now its a 408 tire dude.

I got a buddy that had a 08 Ultra and rode a 2010 Ultra limited with the 103 motor and loves it.

Where is this that yer hearing that the 103 may be standard on bikes.

Go listen to the 103 EPA engine on the 2010 Ultra limited, they sound real good and run good for a EPA motor.
    I was impressed.
The limited comes with a oil cooler and a alarm and a lot of other good things to make me want one.
Does the 09 have air shocks on the back, I heard something about the 2010 has hydraulic shocks.
I got to find out about it.

I was impressed by the stock 103 also.

I've heard that the 103 may be the stock motor from 2 different HD dealer owners.

FLHTbiker, are you saying that the 103 doesn't come down the assembly line?? that the bike gets built as a 96 and goes to only 2 dealers to get pulled out again and disassembled for the 103 retrofit and put back in??

I suppose if the same guys are doing this over and over then it has a better chance of being right and almost "hand built".

I would have thought it best to come down the assembly line instead of ALL dealers having to change it from a 96 to a 103.

    Interesting.......

Gee..:wtf: Man I don't know how you could have gotten that out of my post..

I said two dealers have told me that they have heard that the 103 motor may, not will, but may become the stock motor for next year.

Holy Crap! I can't read. :roflmao:

    Must be oldtimers setting in...

The thing that was on my mind was that if I where to buy a new bike and wanted to order a 103 upgrade then the dealer service dept would put it together, which I would worry about. But now it seams you can order it from the factory on this limited model.

Next time I'll read it 3 times before I respond.:D

You can walk into a Harley dealership and a Ultra Limited comes with a 103 motor.
It is one fine running piece of machinery too.

    Warning !!!!!!!.....!..!!!!

Do Not go to any Dealer and ride one of these Limited Motorcycles ! :cussing:
