We rode over a portion of the Cascade MTN range today to a little town called Detroit to our favorite ice cream store. Most had the Wild Mountain Huckleberry, can't even describe just how good it is. :D

Never heard of yours either, but the Tillamook cheese factory gets thousands of visitors each day.

Here is what a Pennsylvania women said on her visit. This was just one of many comments. The creamery sits right on Hwy 101, cracks me up about the little place comment.

"Cute little place to get out strech the legs and check out cheese making. The ice cream was great, waffle cone was spot on! We had smoores and root beer float. Wish they had this ice cream back east"

We rode down their one time when a bus load of older retired people from Oklahoma on a tour bus stopped. Two of the ladies sitting next to us asked if we were from Oregon. When we said yes they said you guys have the best ice cream we have ever eaten but how can you stand all these trees. We just laughed, as its kind of like the answer to why do you ride a Harley. :)

Took a guy that worked for me in OK to Atlanta for a meeting
he said he'd never been out of OK, and he'd never see trees like that LOL

I guess I was amazed that some folks never travel far from home...

I guess they are so used to flat open ground that when they see trees they get scared that they would get lost.

Last bike trip to Vermont we stopped in at Ben & Jerry's, took the tour and had some ice cream...God that was good...Next day we stopped in at Long Trail brewing and drank some beer...It was a self guided tour as it is a very small brewery...Had a great little restaurant too...

You haven't had ice cream until you try our Oregon Wild Huckleberry. You can get Chocolate anywhere but Huckleberry grows wild here and it ain't imported either. :)
