A riding buddy got one of these and he also has a 2001or2 Electra Glide with a 95 ci in engine with cams and gear drive and he almost always rides the Honda. He is a long time (over 40 years ) die hard Harley rider and retired Harley salesman.

Seat height of 28.5 is to stout for me to ever consider one. To bad too cause I think it's a good looking bike.

That Honda is ugly saw one the other day, looked like
a kid with a can of flat black hit it an said "yo dude my bike is like gnarly"

Indian bagger looks good without the lowers, runs great, 111 cu more
grunt than the HD, the controls for the center screen suck and the center screen isn't visible well in daylight. They need to address that issue.

Then again I'd probably not get an indian bagger, probably a Chief.

True that... I"m not a wing fan, nothing to do with mechanical ability,
Rode a buddies on loan for a month, only women that gave me a thumbs up
were two 50 year old black gals who liked the lights...

Rode in two memorial/grand opening rides, nobody would ride next to me,
all the Japanese, HD etc made sure to stay away,

That's why wing dingers hang out together lol...

Get rid of the shitty radiators and I'd consider it.

YOu live up in snow, fog and rain country.

Take that out into the AZ and NV heat every day all summer
long and you'll hate the water cooled head bikes, hotter than heck.

Not from what people in AZ tell me and rode mine in 90 plus heat last summer, bike ran cooler. Now with the cat gone it even runs cooler. By the way we are 90% below normal in rainfall this year. No fog temps into the 60s and Sunday we are riding over the summit on the Clackanas river over to Detroit Oregon for ice cream. :D Going to be 70.

Wow nice paint but there are too many street glides on the road for me to want one. Those lowers certainly don't look like they belong on a SG.

I've ridden the hot glide, last summer, 98 degrees FL heat freeways, rode 3 different models, SG, Ultra, RG Ultra CVO.

I've heard less knocking/hammering in a new subdivision after a hurricane when it's full of mexican roofers....

Hot? fugg me, those little fans blowing hot air on you, the hot street
and no air when you get moving. Hot doesn't begin to describe it, in fact
the two of us that have 11 cvos cancelled our 15 orders after the test ride
at the dealer, guy wasn't suprised, he'll still sell them, not to me.

Now If I could find a way to plug off that stupid system and remove the lowers, I'm in.

As for now I'll just buy a used softail again, drop in a 124 and have fun for less than half the price and keep my 11

Sounds like living in Florida has its disadvantages. If I had to live in that kind of heat I would move. Mine works great even during the summer months and didn't notice the heat like your discribing even when it's 90F out.
You sure you weren't against it before you rode it.

On my '14 Ultra, removing the Cat. got rid of the heat issues for me. Of course I refused to buy a limmited 'cause of the water boilers on them.

Never rode a water glide, wasn't interested in a limited,

Wasn't just me, about everyone getting off the heat glides
    complained.

FL is fine been riding HD air cooled in the summer here for
years, never had a problem even with the 124 because it cooled
better without the lowers and no need for radiators.

JMO its a bad design, two tiny heat fans and a water bottle
stuck in the lowers, if you are going to water cool the thing
then water cool the whole engine, put a vrod radiator on it
    and be done with it.

You guys have zero humidity and 10,000,000 liberals

I'll take 40% to 60% humidity, all the guns I can buy and carry
babes in bikinis 12 months a year and air cooled engines.

Yea with nothing but flat land and riding in shorts even the air cooled motors shouldn't get hot. Know a lot of guys that bought the new bikes that have the radiator and have never heard one complaint.
Rode with two others yesterday and no one complained about them. I personally think your complaint is bogus and unwarranted. Cooling the exhaust heads has also reduced the temp of the bike.
Funny Harley dealers are selling everyone they get in.

Actually HD's sales are down this year, over last year as a company.

They are selling a lot of non water buffalos here, you don't see many
on the showroom. My Dealer is the number one dealer selling bikes
on the east Coast of the USA, more non water than water.

Plus you ride withabuncha old farts that need heat to keep the
    joints from locking up LOL

I've ridden it, in FL, it's nasty. Oregon, up north, where you don't see
90 but for an hour a day 4 days a year it's fine. Not in FL.
