20131111_10 (480x640).jpg I'll have to make inquiries . . . LOL. I'll have to send the carb, too, as it is attached to the adaptor - or should I try and get it off? I remember I had to put it in a press and used red locktite to seal it. It's probably on there for good.

Today while at the school shop I ground & filed the outside edges of the adaptor to better fit the manifold and spacer at least from the top view (see pic). No one will see the bottom anyway . . .

Also had to drill & retap the adaptor bolts holes to 3/8" as both were stripped.

I really don't see how you are going to get the manifold, spacer & adaptor port holes to line up - they are not concentric with each other - they do not share the same center. You'd have to be a magician . . ..

Its called a scribe to find were you have to blend and if necessary tig weld to build up the area and port as necessary to make it as close as possible. The transition needs to be smooth or air and fuel does hit a wall and puddle up.send it all josh ill make it nice for ya .no problem .I have plenty of patience for stuff like that .I have welded up 6000.00 weld tec heads till I got the ports were I want them.a shovel manifold and adapter aint no biggie.

Okay buddy. I'll get it all in the mail tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. I have the patience, too, but not the welding skills or other machinery to do a righteous job.

But I really just cobbed these parts together, as you'll see, and none of them are really compatible with each other. I done the best I could with my limited skills and tools . . .

    :oops:I think I will need your mailing address . . .

Got the adaptor off the carb yesterday so I will not be sending you the carb - I'll take it apart and clean & inspect it while I have it off.

Ok no problem. I have a cv 40 that I can lay on the throat of the adaptors to see how the transitions look as I port .

Do me a favor josh bolt the intake on the adaptor in the same position it sits on the bike . With the same same orientation as it sits on the head ports .and lock it in place with bolts and nuts.they can be 1/4 inch bolts for all I care .that will be the true position of the manifold to head .and were the adaptor wants to live position wise .that way I can scribe the inside of the adaptor in its final position.you can mock it up with out the carb .

I did that today before I sent it out. The adaptor, insulator & manifold are bolted together exactly how I want them. You will notice I did some "shaping" to the outsides of the parts so they look much better from the outside . . . it's the inside that's messed up LOL . . .

I wrote a letter to include in the box I sent you and forgot to put it in before I mailed it - doh!

I can't believe how far off the adaptor, insulator & manifold holes are from each other. Not the same diameter, either. I still don't see how you can do it . . . I would have run them as is . . .

BP, sending you a letter today with return postage. Forgot to include that in the package as well. I've been so excited about this I got forgetful, but I did manage to put the parts in the box LOL.

Today I'll be taking the carb apart for cleaning, etc. I now have the new petcock on the new tank and it fits & functions beautifully. I'm gassed up & almost ready to go. Gonna miss some good riding weather this weekend as it's supposed to get in the low 70s - unheard of this time of year. Right now it's a sack shriveling 23.
