Many of us up in the North East ride all year round...I only stay off the road if there is snow, ice, salt or if it is below freezing...most of the time we have a window between 10 and 2 that you can get out and ride...

I can understanding staying off the road with Ice and snow. That is wise.
I don't have ice and snow hardly ever.
Only know what I have people from up north tellng me
    Never been up north.
All I know is I don't like cold weather like snow and when it goes below freezing.

Look at Fatboy sayin its gettin time to put his bike up.
    Guess Little Johnny is next.:gah:

So really CB, so how come you don't ride much in the summer?
How do you know you don't like snow if you have never been up north.
We rarely get snow in the winter.

In all honesty it is actually pretty nice riding if you have a heated jacket, gloves and wear a full face helmet...The most important thing in any weather is to keep your core body temperature warm...Late October with all the colors is my favorite time of year to get out...Did a great trip last year through Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont...

I'm from North Alabama. It snows there I left and come to Texas in 84. I've been back home, I froze my A*s off.
MY wife if from Albq, N.M. I've been there in a Blizzard.
When it snows and somebody says they like it
I want the electricity to go off and stay off for a week and for them to have to get their butt out of the building and go outside and work to earn a living.
That is how bad I hate snow.
I become a negative person when I'm locked up.
    Need I say any more

Our HOG chapter is going to do a fall color ride up over MT Hood on Oct 20, it's an annual ride and those fall colors are simply spectacular.

    I remember them back home.
I also remember its time for the wind to start blowing and the rain to start.
And the days to get shorter.

I ride all year long, have been doing it for years. Not in the snow or ice though. However, years ago when I had a sidecar on my 'Wing, I did ride to work in the snow.
