Is it a Stator or Alternator??

    If you look in one of the catalogs, you will find that the older bikes had a 15 0r 17 amp output. they continually upped the output over the years.
    There is no standard output for a motorcycle.
    The more the output the more hp it draws from the engine. The older bikes had just enough to run the bike to keep as much hp for moving the bike as they can. On the later models the engine hp has increased to a point where a larger output alternator has less effect on the usable hp of the engine.

    Yep, and that's why Cardboard needs a 120 amp alternator. :roflmao:
