Kitten died last night. Little feller was just too emaciated, I guess. We watched TV last night before I tucked him in.

Yup. Got a spot in the back yard where we got 3 cats buried now. Since this thread is about jockey shift, thought I'd mention that I've given the idea up. I'm staying with the hand clutch set up I have. It works fine, and more importantly, I won't have to change the way in which I operate the bike now.
The only upgrade I'll be making is getting a splined shifter arm & lever for the forward control. The ones I have now are unsplined and tend to slip.

Yeah, and Tattoo says the hard part about suicide clutches is riding around town. He had one at one time and switched back to the handlebar clutch after a bad moment at a stoplight, lurching out into cross traffic. He wasn't hurt but it gave him a few extra gray hairs LOL.

I'm not interested in showing off, just riding :).

Thing is too you will absolutely need a front brake with a jockey shift
because you have to keep one foot up on the clutch, so you can't lift the other
foot to brake and hold on hills. Makes it hard to maintain position and not drift backwards LOL...

saw a ad in a magazine where there is a hand clutch attached to the shifter itself, seems like that would free up both feet, and could probably modify your handlebar handlever to fit the shifter.:D

Best of both worlds would be a mouse trap eliminator .

And a hand clutch and foot shifter

    I wouldn't ride a bike without a front brake .

I was looking at one of those the other day. The grip is up next to the tank with the lever in the forward position - just squeeze and shift.

Next week I'm getting a new rear tire. After only 6000 miles on that tire, I have uneven tread wear and spots on the tire that have little or no tread at all. That's because the installer never balanced it, and I never checked for weights.

I have a feeling my bike won't shake as much when I get the new tire put on LOL.
