Unfortunately, I went to go do the test, using my scissor jack to jack the rear end up I broke my fuggen jack. LOL I have no idea how it broke. :banghead: I ordered a new one and I will have it on Thursday. I do think this is getting old. I haven't ridden my Glide since the very beginning of September although I have been riding the snot out of my Sportster. :D

Good. You can at least ride Whiplash. We are having a very nice Indian Summer here, so I've been riding the shovel a lot, too.

Ride it until it snows, then work on it...

Is it really that bad, put up a utoob video of it running...

In the time you've waited for these tools you could have pulled the heads and
    inspected the cylinders...

Yep. It is getting to be that time of year when the riding is the best. Nice and cool. As I was out riding this morning on the Sportster, it actually crossed my mind to leave the Road Glide down for the rest of the season and even for next season. I have forgotten just how much fun it is to ride WhipLash. Hmmm maybe I will even put the Glide up for sale???? What do do?????:banghead

The new Sportys are really nice, and LePera makes two new seats just for them, the "Stubs", available, in their own words, "in two bitchin' styles: Cafe & Spoiler."

Leaning that Sporty into some really tight curves is just too fun that is for sure.

SUCCESS!!!! I just got done with the leak down test and I have less than 5% leak down. I got lazy and I did not collapse the pushrods, but id did find TDC and pumped it full of air. My gauge was of by 2 psi as I figured the difference into the equation. In reality, I only had 2% leak down.

So is there a next step in the search for perfection?, or are you comfortable in saying "I was meticulous in my build and the result is this powerful, reliable engine I can safely pass on to a new owner with no fears of failure if he or she continues to maintain it." At least you now have a handy new tool for less than the door rate a shop would have charged you to check it.

My next step is to get it retuned. I do think that I am running a tad lean so it must be looked at. I am not selling this bike, I was bullshitting. I am however going to slowly build another engine. If anything for this engine, I may look for a late model set of heads and go through them and swap. 06 and later will be what it is that I will be looking for.

Life is too short to slowly do anything, but I do see about 5 months of biker downtime in your future. Do you guys salt the roads like they do here so all vehicles rot away, or do they use sand in winter?

Heh...That's what has the internal debate with myself going on....Do I need that much power?? No...Would I want that much power?? Hell yeah!! LOL...Can my wallet take that much power???Hmmm...lol

That's an excellent result JB...Can't get much better than that...I remember BP posted 4% on his bagger...That's a well put together tight engine:cool:
