I like that first picture a lot!! Did you buy the whole light (housing included) and just take them out of the housing to mount them?

That isn't my real job. I'm getting this work due to a friend who needed help and I was outa work. We're real busy this year. My real job was with a construction product company. Specialty epoxies for re-surfacing bridge decks, parking decks and chemical containment etc. Special coatings also. Rapid concrete patching, waterproofing and concrete admixtures. I went from a traveling engineer/trainer/inspector to refrig/ac/elect. I'm a little old and crawling through attics, crawl spaces and the like hurts! (Not to mention I need to lose about 40lbs.) :gah:

I am not impressed with their overall quality. It is real hit and miss with what you get from them. I am happy with like one thing that I have bought from them and that is about it. :(

Hey Chucktx, those lights that you did, did you just use them as brake and running lights or were you able to us wire them in for turn light as well?

If you want something custom Radianz which was linked above is your
connection, then Signal Dynamics. Anything from complete LED lights
to strips to build your own.

LEDs require a load equalizer as they don't send back resistance to the current
like a 1156/1157 bulb so the TS modulators think the lights are out and won't
    signal or they fast signal.

Badlands makes a module that allows LED's to run on non LED systems
you'll need one... or a resistor on the lines to convince the TSM that you
    are really using lights...

    BYO build your own...

Ok, so you are saying that I can't use my current system. I can't just splice the wires in?

Yes and no, current system up to badlander module, then, leds after,

You can plug an LED tail light into your stock harness but at some point between the TSM and the LED light you need a modulator (Badlander)

I did look at that radients link that was provided but the issues I am having trouble wrapping my head around are these.

1.) I need a product that can be completely flush. Either mounting in from the backside of the fender but still is sealed enough to withstand the elements. Both inside and outside.

2.) If inside mounting isn't feasible, then I am going to have to fab up some sort of pocket on the face of the fender to mount them, still be flush and be protected for the elements.

So that would mean that I need a lens, but really don't want it because I don't want to cheapen the look.

    Suggestions??

to build the tail lights you need a shallow box to hold the lights.....cut the fender to your design, fill the box with a clear epoxy, sand the excess down and finish the fender.....a condensed version of course. just givin ya the idea behind the hidden tail/turn signal lights.

yep then make a mount point tack 2 to four threaded rods to the
fender and then bolt the mount to the fender, be sure you seal around
it with some sillycone to keep dirt and debris from the tire out
    of the light area.

Now in this case are you using the epoxy just as a pace to hold the lights and not as a sealant, or both? What I am thinking of is like you said, the shallow box but then drill and tap holes so I can run the screw from inside the fender? Then run loom along the top of the fender for wire routing. Maybe using epoxy on the inside around the light to completely seal the elements? After all is mocked up then use spray truck bed liner on inside of fender to help rust prevention, denting and to keep the loom in place.

    Suggestions or corrections??

:D That's why they make guys like Chuck:D Just take a fat stack with you and start peeling them off:cool:;) There's quite a bit of work to flush mount lights...it would be easier to blend them in on fender tip or struts.

I just can't do that though, I have to have it just the way I envision it. How I want this set up will be kickasssh. There will be a total of 4 LED pods. 2 for brake and running and 2 for turn lights. I am aware that this is going to be intense but it will be worth it when I am done.
