I hear ya...nothing feels better than learning/doing your own stuff...looks like Custom Dynamics have kits for flush mount with the boxes, that would save 1 step...you'd still need to epoxy and silly cone them...
Don't forget the license plate/tag needs a clear light on it:devil:

I will be using my current side mount but have it modified, saves me a little money that way.. :D Actually, here is the link to the lights that I want to use as of now, they are expensive, but the look is just what I am looking for. http://www.dragspecialties.com/part...8,28,28,21,122,22,123,15&searchTerm=2040-0611

Is a 200 rear fender even big enough to house 2 sets of lights?

JB, here is a pic of a Ultra classic a friend of mine here converted. He purchased some kind if a kit for the rear fender. He found a strip of L.E.D. lights on a chrome long strip and pulled the lights off the chrome piece. He then cut the fender and inserted the lights from the back side. Here are the results of it. Looks really good and the L.E.D. lights really show up even in the sun light. The color of the bike I'm not really wild about but he likes green.

There you just answered what it was that I was curious about. I found a set of lights that I like a lot but wasn't sure if I could just take the chrome housing off and use the lights only.. Thanks for letting me know.

Hmm just checked MoCo web page don't see them on there yet...

JB if you want that same look on your RG then you need to get
an aftermarket fender, the 09 and up fender kit won't work on your frame.

I presume you have been drooling over Chainsaws Dragon Slayer build on RGF

I am not overly impressed with Chainsaws bike. It is nice but just doesn't seem real practical. I am talking about the head lights, who cares about the fenders? I already have stretched bags with some LEDS, I am not going to do anything more cosmetically to my Glide. Just the engine.

It was posted on RGF that they had LED heads out for the shark now. I didn't read a full thread of the 100 threads that were posted about it. Hey wasn't that a joke that Ms. Chainsaw got Bike of the month last month..
