    Does it matter if the rings have moved (spun) around a little?

    Machine Shop in Conroe is cheap
    But they don't work for free

    Anybody have any experience with the thunderjet valve for S&S carbs.
    I got one istalled and I'm wondering what to expect and or if I need to do anything other than just install it.

    My mechanic says it's okay as long as you put the rings in the same cylinders and don't ride it too hard for a little while. He has a '69 shovel.

    You know the gap on the rings has to be at angles from each other , right.

    You don't want the gaps to be all together.

    Shouldn't just make sure the splits are NOT lined up or you'll be letting oil up top

    Thanks HRK. John Sachs did the machine work for me.
    I'm gonna put new piston rings on just to be sure they seat properly. At only $35 it's cheap insurance.
