chuck are you going to have to down size the jets any ? or is the CV carb jetted for the 74in pan ? I'am not sure when the CV came into play but it was at least for A 80 in engine just a thought to ponder :D

CV's have been used on various size motors with great success, for example the 883 & 1200 Sportsters, 1340 EVO's, 1450 Twin Cam's and even on Kawasaki's for which they were original made.

    ChuckTx,
I'm putting a CV on my Shovel and was advised to jet it for the sporty as well - what is the stock jetting for a 1200 Sportster?? I put in a 45 slow jet and a 175 main. It had a 40 and a 165 when I got it. Yes, I did change the float and all the o-rings. Can't wait to get it on and get the Super B off.

Looks good as I expected really. You do some killer work Chuck.

What kind of top you going to put on that CV? A new chrome will stick out I think, and a black plastic will a bit too. Do you plan to camo it into the grand scheme or just let it be what it is?

an update.....i finally got some time to work on the pan project. got the intake installed, cv installed, put on half a tank, charged the battery....put some gas to it......fired right up!!!! sounded good, and idled great. did a couple of rev's on it....nice sound. i believe my fab'd intake is gonna work ok!! i also put an 06 front end and wheel on it. going for disc brakes on the front. looking for a caliper, as i have the rest of the componets. might be able to find time to take it out for a spin in the next few days.

i will take either.....both would be good, and i will rebuild so they dont have to be perfect. i have one rotor, but could get another for dual set up. right now i am looking at one brake setup....
