If I had "California values" as you so eloquently put it, I would be up in San Fran Sicko looking for a place to retire, not Houston. I ended up in CA due to my military service, and follow on job. Have no intentions of bringing anything but my guns, military training, conservative values, Harley, dogs, wife, and retirement check anywhere I choose to retire. Don't like it, go pound sand.

Sounds like you will like Texas.
The eastern part of the Piney woods ain't as bad as the desert.
The farther you go north the colder the winters are.
Might want to come and rent check it out for yourself.
Houston has too much traffic and too many people
I know my Nephew asked me what pistol he would git for personal protection
I suggested for him to get a Springfield 3.8 Compac 40 or 45
He went to the local gun store in Standford California
They told him you couldn't own that pistol in California. It wasn't on the approved State list
Did farther research, and there is a list of approved pistols you can own
And you must pay and register your guns there.
And I see Harleys sold there have to have a charcoal canister.
There has to be a special version of bike tuners that can only be sold in California.

Just don't want that to happen in Texas.
We don't even do emissions here in the country where I live.

Please don't think we are all fruits and nuts in CA. After the election look at the red and blue map of California. it is actually for the most part a conservative state. But our conservative values are overtaken by the two large liberal areas, Los Angles and San Fran Sicko. I wish the state was split, then we might stand a fighting chance to get what was once a beautiful state back. Jerry Moonbeam is working very hard to bankrupting the state.
We have reached a tipping point, where there are more takers than contributors and I want the state governments hand out of my back pocket.
