The frame change was in 09, so the frame on the 09 and 2010 should be the same.
Now I haven't studied it enought to remember what the frame is like on the streetglide.
But I would think a kit for a street glide and a electra glide would be a little different.

And if you can't keep up with me, read between the lines.
I git as much of it out as I can.

The kit that I got and Chucktx has like extends the swingarm back a little and lets the bike go a little lower.
Guess only time will tell and Chucktx will know before me.
I probaly won't be riding before Feb sometime.

not sure I'd want to be lowering a Street Glide any more. The low profile suspension for an Electra Glide puts that bike where the Street Glide is as far as height goes.[ the seat is a little lower so that's where the rest of the lowering comes in] As far as I know the frame remains the same [with all due respect to Led Zepplin]. I would have a bit of an issue with a lowering kit increasing the angle of the shock from the vertical in order to lower the bike as opposed to keeping the relative stock shock geometry but with an shorter travel. I don't know if it's more advantageous to keep the stock length shock and lay out out more because the increased angle that the shock is now working with or against will compromise the effectiveness as much if not more than keeping the geometry close to stock but shorter travel..both are compromises..which one do you want?

How can lowering them with a bracket make em rub, but lowering them with shorter shocks with less travel don't ?

The shorter shock likely has less travel so it will bottom out before the tire rubs. If you're running a stock travel shock that by virtue of the bracket the rear of the bike is lowered an inch or two you still have that suspension travel but you have less clearance room to play with. It could be possible that you may get a rub before the shock bottoms out.

looking at the bracket pics the last hole has marks like the shock was mounted there.....that is the most the bike can be lowered, which is about 3 inches....i dont think there is 3 inches of clearance between the tire and fender.....that may be what caused his problems......

You take the blue ribbon Chuck, that is exactly what he did and wondered if anyone would notice that in the photo's. When I looked at them today that was what I noticed and then asked him about it. He said yea but I pumped up the shock to 30 pounds. I smacked him up alongside the head.:D

If'n you need to drop a Electra Glide 3" I think you might should of went to HD Demo days and test drove a few more motorcycles.
A Deluxe might of been a better bike wanting something that low.:D

Bob is a pretty big boy and a smaller bike would not fit him to well. He just wanted to be able to get his legs up and over the seat and tough the ground a bit easier with the Ultra. He has a patch on his vest that explains it pretty well, Fat Bob and that's not for a bike.
Lower seat might help and I believe he is going to go with the lower shocks.

By for now, headed out to the Oregon coast and Granma's place in Newport.

Update on the new low-profile shocks. i had the dealer to install the shocks on the Geezer Glide and took my first ride today...it rides excellent and what a difference to the 08 models!!!! Really enjoyed it with 45 degree temps!!! Went the 25 miles to break it in hard. Can't say enough about how well it rode compared to my 08 Street Glide not to say the SG don't ride good too.The Vance Hines long shot duels sound excellent too!! Almost too loud with Baffles!! So if any one is worried about low-profile shocks and a bad ride you can rest assured it rides nice!!
