    Standing next to this big thang. Them lettin Steam out of it, and when they blew the horn I was trying to take my shoulders while video and all and cover my ears up

    Those were cool videos what did you take em with. I saw what looked like a lot of people using their phones to video it. I would want to be up in the engine running the train, now that would be cool.

    Very cool! Did you notice the little boy near the end of the first video? He was in the lower right corner in a white t-shirt and his hair was slicked down and parted! I haven't seen that for many years. He looked like he was out of the early 60's!

    WOW! Thanks Cardboard. That is some heavy metal with a beautiful paint job. Looks like someone spent a train-load of money restoring old #844. Can you imagine the bragging rights of the guy that gets to drive that big boy?

    We have 2 of Union Pacific's steam locomotive's in Portland Oregon# 4449 the old daylight Shasta engine and # 700 totally restored and running they do passenger trips during the summer and 4449 is lit up for Christmas.It is one on the most magnificent thing's i have ever watched in my life the feeling of power and the steam WOW .and OMSI and donations just built them a new work shop and covered storing they are some thing else i understand what you talking about.

    Oh man! That is one looong steam engine. Dang, the whole train was restored. I remember as a kid seeing them running not far from where I lived up in Cleveland by the steel mills. The earth shakes and you never forget the sounds and the smells . . .

    When I watch the videos of the old locomotives billowing away I am waiting and expecting to see Jesse James and the James-Younger gang racing their horses from the tree line to rob it. That goes hand in hand with the old locomotives to me.
