It would be a good excuse to go to AZ. In the warm weather,IAM still workin on him,he'll sell it, but I want it at MY price. He's had it for over 20 years so he is connected to it by his hart strings,I get it but IAM only willing to pay so much.

I got 15K on my first set of HD Dunlaps and have over 12K on the second, consider it's a 950 pound bike, loaded with my fat butt some cigars, jackets
rain gear and push it in the corners.

Josh run the Avons with more pressure, you run them low and that's
what wears them out, they like more pressure than the dunlaps if you want
    more tread life...

Michelin doesn't make them for my CVO or I'd consider it...

Get the Avons for the sporty, it will handle like it should the rounder
profile front and rear just really help the bike turn and corner, you'll
need to be careful the first time you ride it you won't expect it to react
the way it will with Avons over the old square tire dunlaps..

Speaking of old square tires...use to like the square tire and ran Carlisles on my '83FL. Have a pair on them now and picked up aa back up spare at a swap meet. Not sure they make them any more?

Damn! If I only got 6k on a tire I'd be on number 11. That's $$$$ How 'bout riding like your life was on the line? Why try to ride a Bagger like it was a cafe racer. Just buy a Crotchitty rockette and go out and do wheelies, and raise hell ? signed an old geezer. Fast riders and old riders. Not too many Old Fast riders.

I tried mentioning that earlier

CB, You should get 12,000 to 14,000 easy on the rear Dunlop tire. I know Maddog and I ride hard and we get that kind of mileage with them, we just don't do burn outs.

    Take off hard a lot
    When getting on the interstate
Here the speed limit is. 75
Lot of times you got to twist the throttle hard to ger on with traffic or people will be pushing you.
Traffic will be going at least 80

And I check air pressure all the time .

Man I'm not sure if the Michelins are more rounded or what .

But when you go into a curve they flow around the curve much easier than the Dunlops.

Seems to me these tires take quite a bit longer to wear in than other new tires and can be a little tricky, especially in the wet weather...Don't know how much road surface played in it,but I was doing some slipping and sliding on wet roads and was ready to dump them until after my Monsoon road trip last summer

Since I run 4 lbs. under on my rear Avon, it will wear out sooner and flatter?
