I live in an area with limited ride time, though I do ride mine to work when the weather allows, the down fall to this is I work all over the country border to border ocean to **** near ocean so I can easily knock out 5-6 grand per month I just need to refer to a 10 day forcast and trust it, been caught with my pants down before making some cold rides. started with saving money on fuel but it does quickly become an institution. hopefully It will be nice enough to take it to santa barbara this Jan. ride it ther for a few months.

    Welll,

    Lessee,

About 19,189 miles in 18 months. Born in March 2005, Bought on 28 April 2005 with 3 miles on her, and first run was to Galveston Island on May 2nd, 2005.

Although, seeing as to how I live in sunny Ohio now, I think the mileage come down a bit...

Oh well, whaddya do when you move to support the family???

    I Hear You Bro

WELL you can do all that and more. still wont be able to ride though. I just finished my top end this week end. I went to start it and she ran real good. The next day i went out into the garage and my petcock was leaking so I still haven't been able to put 1 mile on her. She sounded real strong and good. I followed everything that Dave wrote about in an artical in 2002. It worked out great and not a leak in site. I will be going to Mexico in a few weeks so I need to put some miles on her soon. I should have my petcock today. Stay warm and I will be thinking about you bro when I am in sunny Mexico. How long is your stay where you are? Keep in touch. GUMBY AKA Dennis

Got my first street bike aug. 26 and logged over 3200 miles so far. Had my rt. arm too tense first 2 weeks and really got sore, just propped it on my thigh, held the throttle underhanded, gritted my teeth and kept riding because even in pain i wasn't ready to get off.

been there before gumby and liked it, its nice to work the coast just can't live there not a city type but will not turn down the warmer climate. the cost of staying there gets pretty pricey too. probably spend about 3 mos on the coast then bring it back inland for the summer again. watch out for the bandits in mexico heard they string cord across the roads when they see you coming, usually some yougster. enjoy mexico though been there its very interesting. keep it between the ditches and the rubber side down.

    Hey Scooter

I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT FOR SURE. I AM ORIG. FROM N.Y. AND MOVED TO CALIF. IN 76 AT THE AGE OF 23 OR SO. I HATED THE WINTERS BACK THERE.
SO OFF I WENT AND NOW I AM IN VEGAS.
I JUST FINISHED MY TOP END LAST WEEK AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE. IN FACT I HAVE TO LEAVE NOW TO GET SOME MORE MILES ON HER FOR A GOOD BRAKE IN. I AM GOING TO MEXICO IN TWO WEEKS FOR A RUN. IT'S CALLED THE "ROCKY POINT RALLY". WE WILL LEAVE EITHER ON THE 8TH OR THE 9TH. IT IS ABOUT 65 MILES FROM THE BORDER IN A TOWN CALLED PUERTO PENASCO IN SONORA ON THE SEA OF CORTEZ.

IT IS ONLY ABOUT 75 HERE NOW. IT DOES GET COLD AT NIGHT. GETS DOWN INTO THE HIGH 40'S. SO YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED FOR THE WEATHER CHANGE AT ABOUT 3 OR 4 PM.
I TELL YOU I FOLLOWED CD's WAY OF PUTTING TOGETHER THE BIKE. I HAVE TO SAY IT HAS WORKED LIKE A CHARM SO FAR. I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE CARB. AND THE PETCOCK. MY TANK SEEMS TO HAVE DRIED AND ALL THE CRAP THAT WAS IN IT FOR 15 YEARS IS COMING OUT AND MAKING MY FLOAT STICK.

SO EVERYDAY SINCE I HAVE PUT THE BIKE TOGETHER I HAVE HAD AN OVERFLOW COMING OUT OF MY CARB. SO THE OTHER NIGHT I TOOK THE TANK AND CARB OFF AND CLEANED EVERYTHING OUT. I FLUSHED THE CRAP OUT OF THE TANK AND FILLED IT UP WITH SOME FRESH GAS.

SO NOW I AM OFF TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS TODAY. I AM HOPEING IT WON'T OVER FLOW ANY MORE. COME ON BACK CLOSER TO FLA. OR CALIF. IT WILL FEEL LIKE WARM TOAST TO YOU. SPEAK TO YOU SOON.
    GUMBY PEACE 4 NYC
