Missfiring after lifter bleed / push rod adjustment

    open means having the trottle wide open as far/floored as possible. closed would of course be the opposite as in idle position. i'm thinking that idle would be closed enough, i doubt you would be expected to close it any more than idle position. of course it would depend on what you're doing

    Open means you have the throttle grip twisted all the way just like you were trying to hit top speed

    Closed means you let the throttle grip return to the closed position

    Meaning the Butterfly in the carb is ether open or closed.

    On a leakdown it should be closed
    On a compression test it should be held open by twisting the throttle.
