well.............headed to NC (756 miles) wednesday nite (2-26-14) at midnite arriving Thursday at noon. Not aware of any snow storm at the time and looking forward to a couple days at the homestead, at least till late Sunday before I head back. Had a good days work accomplished Friday. Started hearing about the snow storm and calculated it would be in our best interest to leave Saturday to avoid the crap. And we did and we avoided the storm. Lost 2 days of what I thought was gonna be spent tightening up the property and hanging out with the grandboys.....oh well..got to see the grandboys fotr a little bit anyways!

Its not looking like its in a hurry to let Spring through either.

I think it's beginning to ease up. We have started our yoyo season. Lows in the teens then up to the 70's and even 80 in the same week. It's coming!!! Did a PGR mission this morning and it was 31º when I left and it's 52º now.

Maybe in Texas..here it was sunny but 20 degrees and nothing was melting,lol.

We will be in the mid to upper 40s this weekend. I hope more of the snow melts I tired of looking at it. Spring birds are singing despite the frigid temps. BUT they are saying possible storm next week.

March..."in like a lion and out like a lamb"....Easter egg hunts in the snow..been there done that.

I know you guys that are getting snow and rain are tired of it but I'm jealous and envious of you. All we get is a little freezing rain or fog with a few flakes of snow thrown in. Been that way for over three years now. California has one year of it and the media is all over it. Guarantee you the new gold is going to be water.

Almost every county in this area has been at stage 5 water restrictions. That basically means only what is needed for you to survive. I didn't even know there was anything past stage 3. It is serious here. And getting worse if you can believe it. And these fools bitch if we get a little shower because it might interrupt their golf game. They have no concept of what is about to happen. Two counties over has started cloud seeding. Last time that happened places east of us got flooded bad and here they go again. Trying to change mother nature rather than really conserve back at stage 1. They really should change that stage system to 2 stages. Once these fools find out that the reservoirs have silted in and they really have much less than they thought, they'll be in for a shock. Guess they'll create stage 6 somehow thinking that one will work better than all the others.

I hear ya. I wish there was a way to spread it around.

We have so much water we even kin fish in the potholes up in here!

Yeah man the potholes here are unbelievable! The morning traffic reports includes all the broken vehicles from falling in the dam potholes. Then the DOT comes out (sometimes) and they throw the asphalt into the water-filled potholes by shovel and drive away!!! They don't even pack it down. Government workers, ya gotta love them. Just insuring their job security.

Yup...Saw them doing that today on 280...Useless POS...
