Adapters are universal so most 6.5 speakers will fit,
they bolt to the stock position using stock screws
you will have to use shallow or narrow versions of whatever
speaker you get, the PN I gave you for Rockford Fosgates
    is the shallow 6.5.

Nobody but JM, Hog Tunes, etc make 2 ohm speakers
that you can bolt in, the only issue if you run a 4 ohm on
a 2 ohm radio is that you won't get full volume from the
head unit. They still work, just won't get as loud.

JM's had them, over priced, over hyped,

If you put in the Arc Audio Amp (Same as the ELF Amp) 125.2 then you
can run any speaker as the amp takes the 2 ohm input and converts the output
to 4 ohm, drives the speakers. and it will mount on the radio.

You have to get a mini amp

Hog tunes and all have mini amps but again
    BOHICA on the price.

Hot01 is on the right track. Instead of spending big money on bigger speakers and amps, I got some custom molded (for my ear) in-ear speakers from Plug Up. They have dual drivers inside, and seal out ALL the outer noise from wind, etc. $220

All I had to do was add a small 1/8" stereo plug to my fairing that is wired directly to the speaker wires inside fairing. Stock speakers still play too. Radio Shack item cost $8.

Can't believe how great the stock system sounds now, without all the surrounding noise drowning out the stereo. I used to wear Sony 90 deg. ear buds under my helmet, but still had too much wind noise at hwy. speed to hear. I didn't expect such good results, but even at 80 mph, I can hear every note.

These are very comfortable and you don't notice them when in your ears. You won't be disappointed with this set-up.

Right now at motorcyclecloseouts.com You can get the Scala Q2 Bluetooth for $89.00 (was $169!) Since the Q2 Pro replaces the regular Q2. I just got one and I'm not worried about listening to music riding, just my phone since there are very rare occaisions I must answer it.

Showering is optional. Besides, no one can clean their ears that good, so just wipe em off when you take them out. Seriously, the sound is better than any boom-box speakers.

I hear Paul Yaffe with Bagger Nation has been selling Hawg Wired audio systems for motorcycles.

Well now I hear he has been workin with Rockford Fosgate about a new amp and all. The amp is gonna be a 300-4 mini amp
He's gonna make it plug and play and it should be about as good as Hawg Wired but a heck of a lot cheaper

It's a PBR300X4. Fosgate says it will start shipping in April/May.

Looks like Bagger Nation where Paul Yaffee is like Rockford fosgate speakers .
And they sell Hawg Wired stuff.
Remember HotRoadking saying somthing about Rockford Fosgate a while back.

You can't git over the fact that the 300 watt 4 channel amp is gonna be like 289.00
I'm sure there will have to be aplug and play harness price in it too.
    But this kinda looks good.
The P1652S Rockford Fosgate speakers is what everybody is going with.
    Suppose to sound really good
Kinda hard to git ahold of anybody at Bagger Nation.

You have to run shallow speakers in the batwing when you go 6.5 or you won't
get the batwing back on, or you'll have to cut holes in the cover for the magnets

that pn P1652S Rockford Fosgate 6.5 shallow two ways are what I run in the inner faring by the forks, road glides can run the full size 3 way Rockfords in the stock positions.

I would look for the ELF or ARC audio 125.4 amp, amazon or ebay, you'll get a better
deal and unless you like LOUD music then these should be enough, more than double the watts of the HK head unit alone.

I'm wantin to put 2 6 1/2 speakers in the fairing. Then put a set of HD hard lower caps on like is on the 2011 SE SG. Put a couple 6 1/2 speakers in it.
Then try to figure out how to wire the hard lower speakers into the rear speakers. Now wire the front speakers into one channel on a 4 channel amp, and wire the rear speakers and fairing speakers into the other side of the 4 channel amp.
    Now I have fader control.
This would be a six speaker system. Another reason I was going with the 300-4 Rockford mini amp.

I don't know how to wire any of this either.
Heard Paul Yaffee was selling a wiring harness which I hoped I could do all of this with.

Not sure on the harness, you just wire in the new speakers by tapping into the wires at the speakers and running down to the lower caps, you can get connectors as well so you can take them off easily, and weather proof the connections.

300 x 4 = 75 w per channel but because it's being made for "hd" you'll pay the HT tax of double it's value in price...

What you need is a mini amp to be mounted on top of the radio, there are few companies that have plug n play harness connectors, the stuff isn't hard.

Find a local audio shop that does upgraded radio systems for cars, all they will need
is the instructions on the removal of the faring and the parts for the lowers,

they will do a bang up job and wire it in for you neat and correct.

Rockford Fostage is in the process of releasing a mini AMP. Its gonna be the new 300-4 mini amp. Suppost to be about the size of a post card and work great in a harley fairing.
