harley tax= it's what you pay above normal retail value.. Not paid to HD or Obama
but what a vendor charges to bend you over the table because your bike
    is a Harley...

    IE Yaffe 6.5's $130 a pair
Amazon $80 a pair same speaker
    Harley Tax $50 per pair

There are a lot of new mini amps out there,
I'd let that amp get out on the market then
    get one on amazon.

For now the 125.4's are going cheap.

My understanding is the 300 watt amp is going to be close
    to $700

I bought my Lanzar 1600W 4 channel for $100 on Amazon
    normally $300...

Those systems from Paul Yaffe look very nice, and that's a good link from ABC Warehouse for electronics Hotroadking. But I will bet that my custom in-ear speakers sound as good or better, and I will save $400-$500.

About the volume: these things will blow you away with only 1/8th of the volume (2 bars on the HK volume graph) as before. Without the head-set, I had it turned up to 8 bars (nearly full volume) just to barely hear it on the road. The neat thing is I can still hear the deep sound of my pipes with these little speakers.

You hear what is important to hear: all the music, your pipes, and a car next to you (in that diminishing order), but you don't hear ANY wind or road noise.

Honestly, this is THE WAY to go, and you wont overload the electrical system from amps and speakers. What you will gain is an enjoyable riding experience without trying to blast out 120 decibels.

There is a dude that's got a good price on the amp. Bracket for the amp
Plug and play wiring harness and can tell you about which speakers to use.

If you are interested email him

    mailto: ezzell141@comcast.net

Also, RF tests each amp and provides a test certificate in the box confirming the test results. My amp tested at 83W per channel and 333W total RMS. Here's a pic of the certificate:
