You better push that shoe back and look at the surface area on those shoes ! Inside one also you can use a bent pic and a mirror to look at the inside one.

First 9 k miles original owner used Harley Syn. I've been using Red Line Syn.

I switched over to this oil a year ago and feel its even superior to Red Line and Mobile 1 but Red Line is a good oil that or Mobile 1 would be my next choice. It's the oldest oil products company in the USA.

JMO. harley was using technolegy for the time and with proper maintenance and NO modification the system was ok. change a few factors like poor maintenance =( blame the design), higher rpm=chain speed=heat and wear after we modify= (blame the design) higher spring rate= (blame the design) we are sometimes our worst enemies then want to look for an area to point the finger at after we meddle looking for more without understanding all the give and take.

Well I sure like the 95 upgrade I did to the 01 springer and the V&H mufflers on all my bikes. I really think they have enhanced the bikes dramatically.

ya the 95 in kit is a good kit as long as you update the cam chest parts as well , My bro-in-law has a 99 Dyna bought new & at 61 k put the SE cam chain kit with oil pump & 95 in kit still runs great , can't remember if that was one or two years ago , There's a lot of good TC's out there & there's a lot of junk TC's out there I've seen many of both

Warranty is a beautiful thing, to have something go wrong at that milage sounds like a defective part somewhere in the camchest, be it tensioners or something else, Just as a wrench I look at how many bikes are on the road and the percentage of failures with " normal use" and proper maintenance. I will pull cover on my T/C after 5500 miles and let you all know what they look like.

like I said I've seen a few like that , on the other hand I've also seen a lot of good TC cam tensioners , My 03 went 60-61k before I had them changed , & when chucktx pulled the cam plate the brass bushing just fell out ,got lucky there , I'am just saying the cam tensioners are a weak part to start with & I'am sure when they where put in the engine is a factory as well first thing Monday morning or right after lunch , or late Friday afternoon
