Had a desk top crash few months back and I got a lap top, thought hard about an Ipad. If you want to look at email, surf the web and have a small package to take with you on trips, Ipad. Kinda second guessing myself, but I needed some spread sheet and other computer stuff so I went lap top.

90% of what I do, Ipad would fit as good or better. May still get an Ipad when I save up for it....

That's what I heard is the mini first. A really good computer that is built like a rock are the Fujitsu computers. They are more expensive but man are the tough. I've had my Tablet Fujitsu for 5 years and it was used when I bought it off EBay for a cheap price. Another good computer is the Toshiba.

I got a Fujitsu old dot matrix printer I don't use any more
    Fujitsu don't go over a I-5 processor
And they are proud of them
    Got a Toshiba computer
    Don't like the keyboard
It gives me a hard time
I like my Asus 5 times better
Samsung supplies computer parts for other companies
They show a LED monitor on a few notebooks

compusa sells a lot of asus
look on there for a deal, just don't
go cutting edge with all the bells and whistles if
all you are gonna do is post here, surf porn and look at ebay

An I5 with a good size HD and plenty of memory
get the larger screen, LED helps make it nice and bright.
    $500 or so max

Had a 1-7 CPU for several years. Why would I want to go backwards.
And a lot of the computers I priced on Compusa are not the newest computers out there. I don't want to buy a dinasour

depends on what you are doing, my I-5 is plenty fast enough for web browsing,
unless you are crunching things on the laptop like spreadsheets, powerpoints etc
you won't really see the difference because the net stuff is limited to the speed of
    the internet connection.

it just depends on what you are using it for.

like putting a NOS drag racing engine in your grocery getter,
yeah its got a lot more potential but you'll probably never
use the engine like it was intended on the way to y'all mart...
