Years ago a fellow employee had a Triumph chopper. Blew out his knee kicking it over.

I feel for you Marc. I've been down for over a month now with degennetive L2,3&4 discs. Waiting for pain doc. to get me epidural shots. I'm hoping they work. All I can do is sit. Can't even lay in my bed. Thank God I have a recliner chair to sleep in even if for 3-4 hrs. a night. Living alone makes things worse, I've had some improvement. At least I can walk far enough to get in my car and get out of the cave for a while. Good luck.

I feel for you both and Marc it will get better. I had L4 and L5 bulging disk and had surgery on them. My suggestion to you Charlie is push your Dr and get it taken care of before it gets worse. Mine was pushing on the main nerve so bad that I got drop foot from it. I still have some problems with it still so push em as hard as you can Charlie.

A guy shouldn't have to be in pain these days with back problems. I'd switch doctors if at all possible :(.

Charlie 46...A friend of mine had the epidural and he is fine...It reduced the inflammation enough that he was able to PT and still does daily PT exercise at home and work daily...That is my next step after the shoulder is done...

It's not $10K for the labor,
it's for knowing where to cut and where NOT to cut
where to fix and keep you able to walk, talk, eat and
not end up in a chair a veg drooling...

Plus I'll bet half of the cost is going to cover
malpractice insurance premiums, if at least 30%
of the costs, then you have nurses, anesthesiologists
cost of the operating facility, drugs, investment in
    proper operation equipment, etc..

    Like the joke.

A guy is finished working on a ferrari for a doc
he goes up to the surgeon and says, "doc, I rebuild engines, transmissions
all the electronics, take it apart put it back together better than new, just like you
but I get $20 an hour you get $2K, whats the difference, seems the same work to me"

Doc says, "try doing it with the engine running"

Yup...Mal practice insurance is a major cost...Many doctors in high risk specialties are throwing in the towel...

My open heart surgeons bill in Feb 2008 was 105,000 and that was not including the hospital bill. But six years later I'm still enjoying life, the grandkids and able to ride. Life is good
