mine was an old J D delivery truck when I got it, flat 6 and 4 on the floor, course this was 25 years ago, so when i was finished it had the fake fur head liner and royal blue paint, never did find a tailgate though.

Nice shop, with 3 bikes currently under construction in mine it is never that clean anymore ! Thought about putting coating on the floor but would miss the character marks from years of bikes on the concrete ! This concrete has too many memories to recover it !Besides have heard too many horror stories !

wouldn't cover mine ethier, to much cuttin and grinding, iron dragin, solvent spillin, tool trowin, oil drippen to put that much money into. Does look good though and does brighten it up. Besides soapstone doesn't layout well on white/painted floors.

I hear all your reasons and cost is really the only reason to prevent getting a really nice shop/garage floor. I had an advantage on cost. My previous house I put in an epoxy with an aliphatic 2 component urethane top cost. Worked my crotch rockets and cages. Steel wheel jacks, jack stands, dropped tools, trannies, engines, solvents, oils, fuels, hot tires you name it the floor took it. If ya do something that will break concrete then yea the floor would chip. Hell we have tanks driving on them and being refurbished on it. Go to the Marine Corp Logistics base in Yermo, CA and they are refurbing every piece of marine equipment on the epoxy floors including those big ugly personnel carriers they use for landing craft. We have NASCAR drivers with it in their garages. Just Sayin

Yeah I'd have done the epoxy stuff but have some spalling in the floor, cracks, chips
so figured the stuff would highlight the bad areas, so I opted for stain with a clear coat and anti-slip agent.

Doesn't pull up, and the spalling and cracks and such look natural.

Crappy image but you can get the idea

The Jack is Sears motorcycle lift. Buddy has one of the Pit Bulls
they are nice, get the bike up higher, but pricey

I got it a lowes, got the Coffee Color but wish I had got the Cayenne Red
and gone darker, figured the coffee would be dark enough.

Easy enough to put down with a sprayer but it's not cheap
