Maybe Obummer will get me a '15 since I'm a 2015 Harley challenged, poor and deserving suppressed individual.

Nope. About 10,000 years ago (so scientists say) I along with everyone else evolved out of Africa. So IF that is the case, and we know the libs believe in science and not in God, I should be ENTITLED!

All Ultra's have a lot going on. F*cked up thing about it is my 1998 + 2001 Ultra Controls are the same, my 2012 controls are different and the 2015 controls are even more different.

I preferred the simplicity of the 1998/2001 controls. And helz ya the 2015 controls are nutz. The '98 had a cassette, '12 has a CD and I think the '15 only has MP3 which I have no idea how to use. But I've never used my CD player having XM radio.

Was wondering how tall you were and how you felt about sitting on it having been lowered from 27".? to 25".?

I'm not locked into this purchase. The deposit only gives me first refusal. If the only thing I like about the 2015 is it being lowered and which is huge...its gonna be a hard decision. My 2012 is my favorite color..hot pearl white and is set up 100% done for me. But 2 up loaded and stopping is always a challenge and difficult because I am only 5'7. Not fun. Having those extra lower 2" I think is a difference maker. We'll see.
The only time I had a motorcycle that I totally liked for my short stature was my 1963 rigid pan.

BD, the MP3 player is easy. Have someone younger show you how to copy your CD's (if you have any) onto a computer. Then to transfer it onto a MP3 is very simple.

Thanks for the idea. Pretty sure my kids have a clue about it.

Music has been a lifelong hobby since 12-13 years old. I have massive vinyl, cassette and CD's. Thats why I like XM so much because it has every music venue, even classic '40's talk radio shows which I occasionally like to listen to. For me music has taken the ride to another level.

I have many memories of when the perfect time came for a favorite song. Tooling around the spectacular Great Smokey Mountains..."Chicken fried" by the Zac Brown band. "Amarillo by Morning" riding thru Amarillo, Texas. "Take it Easy" by Eagles riding thru Winslow,AZ. "Living on Tulsa time" thru Tulsa OK.time. Coincidental?Sure but awsome, lol.

Anything by AC/DC in a traffic crush.

JohnnyB...When you sat on the bike were your feet flat and your knees bent? Did you feel in command of the bike or did you think your legs were to straight?

I felt comfortable with the height of the bike. I guess I didn't pay that close attention to that. My knees were bent slightly. In command? Hard to judge while just sitting on it.

My 01 just has a cassette but I have an input jack so I can link up my phone and use Bluetooth if I want. That is all I need. When I use my GPS, I have that hard wired so it doesn't occupy my aux. hook up.

    Thanks.

Slightly bent is good. The more bent the better to a point.

By command I mean a little flex in the leg, not dangerously straight legged.

Slick with the hardwired GPS. My GPS is hardwired too.

Always thought that XM hookup is hoky as it ties up your aux port, even on the 2012.

No real point of reference I guess. I just don't want to judge it when I am not actually on the road.

When I'm rolling I'm fine on my current Ultra. Its stopping 2 up and loaded/packed. I'm near straight legged. I'm not given much forgiveness for plus minus error as I would if I had a little more bend in the knee.
