A tall person would be cramped but it's perfect for me at 5'7. At first I thought the handle bars were narrow and felt weird but I was gonna give them an honest tryout before I change them. There the shit just different from what I'm use to. Absolutely no front end wobble at 30mph/3rd gear. The 100 mile interstate ride was a good test. The seat sucks.

Thanks JB. I never felt "one" with the 2012. On this '15....feet flat knees bent.

Thanks. Not quite pumped. The 2012 was the favorite color, set up 100% done for what I wanted. I got the upgrade screen so it comes with GPS. Needs front fender trim, saddle bag guards, fairing bra, inner tour pac lid storage,XM radio and tour pac rack.

Or better lighting in the garage. That color looked like gold in the photo. Send me a PM with your email and I'll shoot you the tutorial of the info screen. Badass Olbill said it really helped him.

Congrats on the new bike. I've not ridden the new Rushmore bikes but all I've heard is good. Was your wobble on the 12 on decal or constant speed?

    Thanks.

Both. Worse at 3rd gear,30mph on cruise. And 4th gear deceling from 40mph. I mean if I took my hands off the handle bars it would shake so bad I had to quickly put my hands back on or crash.

2015 doesn't do it at 30 or 40 mph. Neither did my '01 or '98 ultras. I think it's because they used the same front end from '08 back on the new frame change from '09 thru and including '13.

The new front end on the '14 and 15's is visibly beefier. Never could get any dealership to admit there was a problem. Then why did they upgrade the front end for the '14 and 15's?

Interesting about the wobble, my 12 didnt wobble at any speed. Wonder if your head nut was loose. No not the one between the shoulders either. :)

I know on my 14 that it is very tight and handles way better. I've got the water cooled heads and do believe it runs a lot cooler. I don't have the heat by my leg that the 12 had. I know from talking to OlBill that he says his new 14 Streetglide 103 has more power than his 103 he traded in.

BD, the newest info center update I heard today is the 8.0 going to check into it myself. I stopped in at the dealership today was meeting Maddog there to head for lunch. Service writer said your bike clutch needs to be updated. So left it with him while we walked down the street to a Subway. OlBill joined us for lunch. Done when I got back.

I had a wobble on decal in first gear and if I worked on it I could get the bike to shake it's head on some of the higher speed sweepers. My front tire was cupped somewhat. I put new rubber on and the wobble disappeared. I think I may be a little ham handed with the front brake compared to the other touring bikes I had. This one is the first with the abs. I may need to be a little smoother.

So Bob, what do you think of the new tire on the bikes. Think they are more stable. I know the have a higher load rating.

I'm using Metzelers 888 front and back. First time I put anything other than Dunlops since I used a pair of Metzelers on my 1990 FXRS years back. I'm still feeling these tires out but they seem stable enough. I'll see how they wear. I was a little unhappy with the stock rubber on the front of this bike. The dealer has a newer service advisor and when I explained to her that when you take your hands off the bars on decal the front end wobbles and if you are riding it at 120 kph it wanders around. She replies that Harley says it's not safe to ride with your hands off the bars, nor is it safe to speed. I'm thinking, how do you deal with someone like this? I told her that most sane people wouldn't ride at all, especially here in Calgary but I'm too stupid to be sane If I try to ride the speed limit on the highway, I'll get run over so lets have a look at where the problem is. Head bearings were fine, swing check was good, wheel is true, changed the tires out and hopefully all will stay good. I did hear that the Fl's were sensitive to front tire wear. This was the first one that really showed it to me.

tire pressure, tire condition, worn tires, contribute to low speed wobble
as does a loose neck bearing my 09 did this and HD has a bulletin out about
fixing it. tightened it up and the wobble was gone.

Bob, I like your response to her.
My 12 as I said never had a wobble it was however as compared to the 14 didn't respond as well in maneuvers as this 14 does. I've been quit surprised by its responsiveness. I'm not sorry at all about buying the 14.

had a 1500 Goldwing and the front tire would cup real bad and it would shake. Also had tighten up the head bearing a couple times to. They were easy to do compared to the Harley.

The head nut was looked into by more then one dealer. The fall-a-way test deal too. The bike had 300 miles on it and a Virginia inspection sticker ( I live in New Hampshire) when I bought it. Now, looking back, I figured that it was pre owned, in an accident, repaired and because it only had 300 miles, resold as new. The bike had been one problem after another. I kept thinking I could push thru (repair/fix) the issues and would have continued until the Low came a along. I mean I put over 15,000 thousand miles on it. The '15 had 7 miles on it. The clutch is a little touchy, gonna have that adjusted if I can today or somtime soon.
