yes - the EZ - adjust screw.....idle seems okay - rode about 12 miles yesterday - throttle responce was good....when i let off - there was a quiet muffled sound in the exhaust - plan to ride to work in the morning and check plugs (put in new yesterday) when i get home - about 40 miles round trip plus 12 yesterday - hope that will give me a good indication of jetting

First make sure the EZ-just is screwing in all the way (seating) before counting the amount of turn out. There have been a couple of reports over the years of some carburetors with looser threads than normal. Typically the spring will apply enough tension to the screw to keep it from coming loose, just make sure you didn't lose the spring. If you have concern that the screw is very loose I recommend wrapping the screw threads with a couple of turns of plumbers teflon tape. This will give it a snug fit and prevent it from wandering.
