Well did it again. Went to a very large gun store today and they had a Ruger 1911 left. They had 14 come in on Monday. Looked it over and that is once sweet gun. What a sweet trigger pull, unlike the XD Springfield the gun is crisp with virtually no trigger slack. Very well made and all made in the USA, now got to get it to the range. :)

I told Maddog today that it was his fault. He was the one that got me started looking at the 1911 Rugers. I'm done now. Got my trigger kit in now got to work on the XD 40. The Ruger has such a nice trigger pull won't need to do anything to it. :D

That's exactly what I want. Are those the standard grips? Trigger?

I agree about the Walther, HRK. I've got the PPK/S and the action is so smooth with such a quality "click" and feel.

Yes, that is the standard grips and same with the trigger. The most beautiful gun I have ever owned except for my black powder custom flintlock rifles.

The Ruger is going to be a favorite for many for years to come. They cant keep em on the shelves.
They have a really good feel, fit in your hand. The finish quality is very well done. Can't wait to get out next week and shoot it. :)
