Bike was right and so was the price. I am so glad that I decided to sit still with the Sportster and not go any further, but I would have if it were a little more cost effective.

CardBoard is for sure in a candy store at the moment.. :roflmao: That is oK, we will have about another 50 posts from him telling me what to buy and I am sure that there will a lot good suggestions, but I can't buy it all.. I most likely won't buy anything for it for a while. Most likely the first thing that I do is make sure that the bike is tuned properly, once that is done, then I will go from there. Good job at finding the bike though. Care to explain how ya found it??

Simple, you said you got to pick it up in Wis. and the year was 2001 and the color was black cherry so with all that info you just type in all those parameters into a search and bingo. Then the ad they had for it say's sold. :)

I love the enthusiasm, nothing to sorry about. I guess I need a little time to figure out what it is that I like and don't like about it, which I am sure is not going to be too much. BUt in a lot of ways I can't leave much a lone but time will tell..:D

You tell me after a Month Johnny.....

This bike ain't as nimble as the sporty.
Its gonna take some gittin used to the weight dude.

But it ain't gonna rock back in forth by the wind as much cause of the weight and fairing.
    .
And yer gonna have to learn how to ride it. and to use the back brake when going slow.
if you turn in a service station and hit the front brakes with yer front wheel turned you can lay her down. Hear it from a lot of new touring bike owners.

Keep the bike upright when turning the handle bars when going slow.

busy at school..not much time for much of anything. I'm going to start looking around for a trailer hitch and wiring harness for the new Limited shortly. Our dollar took a bit of a dump so when it picks up I'll pull the trigger. I just have to figure out the best one for the job. You may find the bagger a bit heavy at the start but once you get over that..won't take long you'll really enjoy it.

I have to say that when I took the RG out for a test ride this past summer I felt so comfortable on it. It was like the RG and myself were a perfect couple, just like my wife an I are together.. I will be careful, I have to be, I have a family to be around for.. :D And that means everyone here as well.. :D
