    chain

Thank you for telling me these things. Because my attention was brought to it from another thread where it was stated that too much lube can cause the chain to come off. And that never would have occured to me . I have a spray called chain wax that I bought at the triumph dealership. Its a chain lube from what it reads on the can and says o ring chain safe. And I didn't even realize I had to pay attention to that. I have an o ring chain. Thank you for your help. Susan fireitup

You're not cheating on us with another forum now are you fire??? We would never steer you wrong! BTW, I've never heard of a chain falling off from too much lube, too loose maybe, but not lube?? Where was that posted? I must've missed it.

    chain

Pretty sure I saw the chain thrown thing on this one. It was a mention that too much lube on a chain could throw it. When I have time I will try to find it. And I know you wouldn't steer me wrong. Is why I come here. Thank you. fireitup.

like al, i have not heard/seen a chain thrown due to over lubing. i have been doing this since 67. have had friends that had triumphs with no chain issues. now, i have broken a few chains:D in my opinion someone is feeding some untruths about the overlube issue..........or in laymans terms,,,bs.:)

A chain isn't going to come off unless it's too loose or grossly out of line.

    good to know

Glad I mentioned it because I was concerned about it. I did wipe off a lot of that extra grease mess. It was all over my chain guard. Am trying to work on resizing a photo of the bike only am having a hard time figuring it out. Everytime I resize it it just about disappears. Oh well. The bike is retro looking. Fireitup
