    Hey all,

This has been bugging me for awhile. When I changed my oil this spring in my 2012 Geezer Glide, I used the same procedures, oil, and filter I have used on previous bikes. I always have filled the oil by way of level indicated on the dipstick, as opposed to just dumping in the 4 qts listed in the capacity page in the owners manual. That was always just a few ounces short of the 4 qts.
This bike shows full at only 3 1/2 qts. I've checked it on the stand, upright, cold and hot. Same thing.
Does this seem odd ? Kinda hate to run it at all low with the heat these things put out.

Seems about normal, ride it a bit and check it again, I ran my 124 about a half qt low, helped reduce some of the oil blowback issues...

I always run the bike till warm then drain the oil, get more old oil out this way. I put in 31/2 back in with oil filter. Run it again until warm, shut it off and let it sit a few minutes then check it again. I don't like dumping 4 quarts in as it really sucks having to drain some off if there is to much.

Thanks for the feedback. I have ridden it a few times since the change, and checking it before and after gives the same results. Wasn't really worried about it, just found it odd, since my other 3 held closer to the 4 qts than this one. 3 1/2 qts it is then !!:)

Some guys around here run less oil than their manuals recommend with no issues. Easier on seals & gaskets I'm told. I run just under 3 qts. in my shovel because the tank won't hold any more .

No your not the only one. Sometimes posters accidentally put their replays inside the quote tabs which will make it look the same. However I checked his reply and there is no reply inside the quote. So not sure what is going on unless he has a computer problem. I've also noticed that he does not post much at all any longer. Which may indicate that he is having computer issues. Maybe Fatboy can elaborate more on that for us.

3&1/2 qts, is all mine will take, shows full. Tried 4 and it drips out the air filter and blows out over the side of the bike.
