This is starting to get off course.... anyway, just playing Devils Advocate here, (HaHAHa!)many times I have had people tell me they want it fixed as cheap as possible, which are usually the same people who are first to call and bitch me out when parts I recommended be changed and were not cause another failure! And who gets to take it apart again(usually for free, during hours I could bill for if I was not tied up with their cheap repair I made no money on the first time around?), me. That leads to a mentality of "replace all, avoid a fall) which is no longer fair to the consumer. Do I think the tech is intentionally screwing you over? Maybe. But maybe he is trying to find the best blend of cover his ass and give you a reliable repair. Hopefully you can come to an arrangement of trust and have repairs done that make all involved comfortable with the price paid and results made.
