I just got word today that I will be able to get a brand new SE CV44mm carb for $240 instead of the $310 that HD wants. the cool thing is that it is brand new and is coming from a dealer. What a deal that is for sure. Also I will be getting my SE Adjustable Pushrods this week as well. All major individual parts are wrapped up now.

Thanks. And once again the timing is right where I said it would be right when I started talking about doing this. In the words of Hannible, "I Love It When A Plan Comes Together." :roflmao:

I double checked those gaskets and there were no orings in it so I am going to pick the orings for the lower rocker box tomorrow when I go and get my pushrods and my other breather assembly.

Oh yeah, I am making it a habit to bring my manual with now when I go to that particular dealer as they screwed too many things up for me. :witsend:

Finally I am getting to order my 44mm CV. I am getting one hell of a deal on it so it is time that I get it here. With a discounted price, it is just too good to pass up. Anyways, just wanted to say that this is pretty much the last big purchase for this build other than exhaust so we are nearing its completion. :D

Yesterday I went to the stealership and I picked up some more o-rings for the build. I picked up the base o-rings, a new o-ring for the oil pump, o-rings for the cam chest, some o-rings for the heads and I did buy some new head bolts as well. Tomorrow I think I am going to put the oil pump back together and replace the o-ring.

I just got back from the stealership and I picked up my new head bolts. Good, closer to being done.

I am thinking that it would be a good idea if I were to pick new plug wires and a new coil as well. Is there a "SINGLE FIRE" coil that is available for the twin cam. If so, what are the best options??

I'd get it running before I worried about Plug wires and a coil.

JB I have a curiosity question. Don't answer if you don't want to but I'm just wondering what I am doing or did wrong.
How does a student like yourself have so much money to spend on their bikes?
I don't have the expendable cash you do and I work and make 70k per year.
Do you have a lil side business that funds your projects?
Are you.. JohnnyBiker... a giggalo? :roflmao:

JB the TC coil is single fire, and unless it's not working leave it alone
no need to upgrade, based on the age of the bike new wires won't hurt
though and good ol stock HD wires are best for what you need, and a new set
of HD plugs for the build is a good idea.

Ok. I wasn't sure of this as when I bought my DTT ignition there is a setting option that said single mode or dual mode. I asked about this and no one answered it so I just left it. Cool. OK, I will leave the coil alone. New wires. :D
