It seemed a good idea at the time, lol. It was while the nkids were little..great place to raise a family but they are grown and gone.

And she basically follows me where ever I go. I appreciate that. A lot.

Think about moving all the time. Even got a small place in NC. But in a retirement groove here and it would be difficult at best to relocate right now. I'm 58 she's 59. Getting close.

Nope. She thought I was nuts. But the first house didn't have a garage. Only a tin shed.

There was a time in my career when as a manager I had several women working for me. They were all mid fifties + except for a 20 year old. The previous manager had to be transferred because of the old biddies passing rumors he was doing the young one. The rumors were all over the plant. Poor guy was innocent but he got shafted anyway. Then they tried it on me. As soon as I fired one old hen for gossiping it stopped. I hate working for or managing wimen.

Exactly. They don't follow the rules..you call them on it then they blame you for something made up. So far its all gotten back on them. People in general consider me an asshole because I follow the rules, it keeps me u;timately not popular but out of trouble. I can live with that. When I go to work I do what I'm paid to do. I am not paid to pick and chose what rules I'll follow and which one I won't. They place is just full of out of control douche nozels who make mad bank, are lazy and don't appreciate the oportunity. I always say its better to go to war with a hand full that want to be there then 100 who don't. As far as I'm concerned everyone here is ovr paid (me included) and they still whine for more (I don't I'm embarassed)...wow..

Did the Polar bear ride today with Maddog, OlBill and four other guys. Started at 26F and just wore my winter coat and chaps. Wool socks and tall boots. We road about 80 miles plus the miles getting there and then home. Temp got up to 37F then as we neared a small town called Colton the temps dropped to 30F. We then dropped back down in altitude and got back into warmer temps of 37F again. Finally made it into Oregon City to the ending point at the Pizza Parlor. The new header simply worked great and sounds really nice.

Had two rides today, one this morning with the chapter, only little over 50 miles, then another this afternoon with another group. Second was little over 100 miles. 27* when I left the house, got up to low 40s then dropped like a rock. Small groups, about 25 bikes in each one. Good day though, sunny. Picture is at Lake Lure.

Glad you had a good ride to. While I would probably not like to ride in the cold but it is kind of refreshing some times.

Rode over to a friends house temps in the high 60's and misty
kinda nice, thought about turning on heated grips but toughed it out,
left the heated seat off too.

Felt good, manly to ride in that nasty weather...

Thought about going out yesterday but went for a walk instead which was the right decision...Got some ice on the side of the roads...I generally will not go out if it is not above freezing and fairly sunny...I try and ride back roads which don't get all that much sun...Had a pretty good scare a few years ago...Ain't worth the risk...
