I know what you mean by 5000 miles and a border getting in the way of your collection.. HRK's neighbor's FXR was a sweet bike. just a little hard getting it up here

Today I am going to be sitting down with the only finance guy that I trust to start look at looking at my options for my FLHX. I have been wanting to talk to him for the last week and a half but he has been on vacation. I may be able to pick this bike up sooner than anticipated. :D

Hey, I told you that it would most likely be October before I am ready!!:rant: But I guess I will find out if it can be earlier.:rant:

I spoke to the guy today who I think is the best finance officer in the business and he had said that if I wanted to proceed now I could, but he agreed that since I just spent about 40k on new vehicles that my idea of waiting until October was better, just to give those scores some time to go higher. :D Unless something terrible happens, I WILL BE on a brand spanking new FLHX!:D

There will be plenty of Bikes out there, the nation wide search will help too. With the State just getting back up and running my finances are all fubared so now unfortunately just isn't the right time. I will get what it is that I want though. Who says I have to get it in Minnesota, I just may look for an 011 Sedona Orange one.

All you need is a one-way ticket to get there. Or better yet, HotRider on back of the Sporty and enough time off so you can enjoy the ride back home with your new wheels.

You know, that is not bad advise either. I have thought that through really hard because if I do wait until the weather is better. (Spring) Then I get a lot more use out of my bike with the warranty as well.

Wait till the SNOW is on the ground and nobody is selling bikes. Say January, then go to the HD store and start lookin at bikes.
When nobody is sellin bikes, and its cold as a well diggers As* that is when you can git the best price and everyting on a new bike or whatever.

Don't buy a new bike when they just come out, and when its good riding time.
Buy a bike when its to yer advantage.

So save yer money between now and then. Don't spend it on anything.
The bigger of a down payment you have the better of a deal you can git.

Sound advise. In the meantime JB, you can be looking at more bikes, too. Plus you can extend this thread longer. I like long threads!

Or you could sell one of yer new rides and git a used one. Then you will have more money for a new bike.
