Raising it wasn't an option for me 'cause my lil lady is a lil lady at 5'2".Her back is messed up too from a work injury and would be in agony after only 100 miles or less with the large backrest, with the TP she can now go 350- 500 miles and still be able to function when we stop...with the extra storage with the TP I now have 1 saddlebag I can put my stuff in:rolleyes:

I have not checked it out up close just yet. Red is pushing that bike hard as well. I would get that bike for Hot Rider but I am not too enthused about it. I am somewhat anti-dyna family anyways. I have taken a lot of dyna's out for rides and I hate the braking systems on all of them, so I most likely will not go that rout.

No,it wasn't with the bike when I got it,I just got a 97-07 mounting rail and T/P was pre '97(different type rack) so when I sat her on it to position it where she liked it the rail fit in a channel in the bottom of the pak, fit her perfect,(it lowerd the pak about 1/4")drilled new mounting holes in the bottom of the pak, bolted it on and all is good.Usually not my kind of luck for it to fit like it did.LOL

When the FatBob came out it had dual front disc, that was what the dyna needed. With Dual front Disc vers single disc there is a huge difference in how much better you can stop the bike.
    Plus the Brembo brakes.

I got to test ride it at Sturgis. It was a little windy out there and got some wind buffeting on the head..other than that..not bad..like a 7/8 size Road King..pretty zippy with the 103 too

I think it should have dual-disc front brakes too. Otherwise, it's brakes are exactly like a Sporty's the way it is now.

On the plus side, it handles as good as a Sporty (only 90 lbs heavier) but rides much, much better. Ride one before you write it off.

Geez, I hate trying to convince people about a better product than what their pre-concieved notions are!

Been toa lot of Demo days
Watched folks ride a bike they thought they really loved
To come back and tell everything they didn't like about it
And ride other bikes to come back and sat
Gee that bike fit me better than I could of imagined
Man am I glad I come to H D sponsored Demi Days
    and test rode bikes
This really saved me a lot of money
I would hate to have a bike to ride that I really don't like

In general; the single fron disc on all of the bikes is a little weak and doesn't compare to the dual disc models. I installed "Sintered" pads from EBC and they helped with the stopping. I also installed a HD Floating Disc but that was only for looks, didn't help improve stopping power. The $500 plus for a 6 piston caliper is too rich for me.

Don't know how you can call that bike ugly. For its size it has a lot of advantages and Anti-lock brakes are available for it. With the 103 motor the bike should move out real good.

    Full boat and then some

Haven't seen a CVO Street Glide on the floor yet and all the 12's
    have been pre-sold.

Wrong time of year to by a 12, you need to find an 11.

I know where a CVO Ultra is still waiting new on the floor
just make the tour pack detachable and you have a
    street glide...

The new Dyna is actually pretty cool looking in person,
the wheels have the old Rally/Torque Thrust look and
the bags have a Shovelhead era look to them.

One of my first and favorite HD rides was a Wide Glide.
much better ride than others and handle great.
