Looks good. Just remember that many LED's don't give the same glow as incandescents, as they tend to be more or a directional beam of light. You'll need to have the lights close enough to the opennings to see at an angle, not just directly from behind.

as ken was saying an led is directional so if you use led install them sideways angled to the rear and use a chrome plated or polished s.s. box for reflextion. or you could just get one big multi-led lite to cover the whole area.

I was thinking of putting red lens material against the back side of that plate, then mounting the led's right up against it from the backside in a box of some sort. Does that make sense. I'll probably use some stainless or something really shiny for the inside of the box to help reflect the light better, but the led's would be placed against the backside of the lens material. Hopefully you won't see a bunch of dots, you'll see the image.

Replying to ChuckTX, No, no problems, shiming the bracket out that holds the pipes 3/8" only turned the pipe where the flange meets the head so little it would be hard to measure it.

Things are going well, sorta......I had to put my 2-1/2 year old Rottie down on saturday due to cancer. It SUCKED!! She was such a good dog, slept with my daughters every night, was a great watch dog, such a shame. I carry her collar tag with me now. Other than that, work is busy again, but I'm still progressing on the bike. Slowly but surely. Really just gotta get that tail light deal figured out and then I can sling some paint and put her back together. I'm real close! Thanks for asking!

Oh BTW, the house turned out awesome. His youngest boy cried the day we got the final inspection and they told him he could stay in his own house again. Nice feeling on my part.

Well, just a quick update. The bike is (almost) completely back together. Everything is on and done except for the fender paint and light configuration. I actually started it tonight to get the cob webs out and hear her roar! WOW, what a sound! Now, just to finish the rest of it.

BTW, ReeseSS and Chuck, the pipes went on with no modifications at all. Only had to make a couple more spacers for the footpegs (rear), and a shock mount spacer, that was it. It looks bad ass from the rear, I wish I could run it with no fender at all. :D I'll post some more pics when I get more done.

I'm sure when I take her for her maiden voyage it will all be worth it. I have always had sh*t luck, even my mom-in-law used to say that when she was alive. And she never thought that of ANYBODY!! :D No biggie, I'll get her done. I've already had her running just to clear the cobwebs out, just can't take her on the street yet. Still sore today but much better after laying on the floor with 2 big ice bags on my back last night. The family's still sick, even the wife, all with temps of well over 102 degrees. Oh well, thanks for the well wishes guys, I'm off to school. Have a great night all!

OK guys, a little update. I am still feeling like sh*t, but managed to get some work done on the bike. I finished welding the clips in for my light bracket, and almost got the body work done on the fender. I have one more light coat to go on the fender and I gotta say, it looks pretty good. I will have the bodywork done tomorrow, and it'll be ready for paint! I'm just happy I was able to get something done.
