It's a state with warm temps where you can ride all winter.

If every winter was like this winter it'd be okay.

This winter has been great, compared to last year. I could not even get into the wood lot to cut for next year, I try to stay 2 years ahead. Still have not pulled the top cover on the R/K for the 3rd gear issue.

See an old date, 16. Time to roll into a new date, 17. "Dec, now" finds CA. central valley cold a bit wet but doable for a ride. Lets see were the new year takes us.

What cigars do you like to smoke? I tried to sit out last week and smoke a Padron 1926. It was so windy it made it tuff.

Different smokes, Ghurka, Padron, Estell Herrera (Drew Estate) mostly maduro's
I like to buy the sampler packs from CI or Mikes get a variety. Monte 2 or 4 are good Cubano's

Dang, I'm going hunting at 0-dark thirty or I'd talk cigars all night!
Padrons are fine, as are Monte's and some Drew's (not an Acid guy). Have you tried Black Markets by Oliva? Still not priced to value- aka, cheaper than they could be. Oliva V's are awesome, as are the usual suspects: Opus X's, La Flor Dominica Chisels, AVO's (a definite go-to-always great, no matter the in-house line). If you can get your paws on Illisione cigars: awesome. La Gloria Cubana Series R is my recent humidor filler, with Cusano Churchills (much lighter, but surprisingly flavorful).

Enough for now: geese must die! G'night!

Those are all good. But my favorite of all ,even cuban Is fuente opus x in all different varieties. But they need to be aged. I have many in my humidor that have 4 or more years on them. They are so good. They get stronger also. Makes me lick my lips right now just thinking about one. Guess I know what I'm going to be doing tomorrow.

I'm not made of money, so I can't afford to burn $15-$30 a smoke of Opus X's as often as I'd like...just a couple times a year. I am surprised you find your cigars get stronger with age, as I've found the opposite. Must be different ideas of what is strength in a cigar... maybe that is not as surprising as I'd thought.

Even if I could afford Opus X's everyday, I'd still mix it up with other brands.

Those aren't my everyday smokes, those are what I like best. Every day smokes are something like a fuente magnum r sun grown. Great smoke for around 7.00 a stick. There are several others I like but I stick with just a handful that I like the flavor of and the burn. Nothing kills a smoke for me more than trying to fight a bad burn. You might be keeping your smokes wrong if you can't keep the power up. Not all smokes will get stronger with age but the opus x does. I have a wine cooler that I have gutted and lined with Spanish cedar. It stays 67 degrees and 71% humidity. Has a fan in it to keep air stirred around. Have had it going about 6 years. Really cheap to make and does a great job.

You are right about Illisione, that little cheap Rothchild is a great smoke for 4.00. Can't say that I like the avo line it is a little to grassy, like smokin dirty hay. Some folks like that I dont. But that lfd triple Legero chisel is the tits, strong.

Duh! Though I like the Irish single malts, too, and Famous Grouse blended is fine with me, as well.
