    Crankit down.

    Look for 220 ft lbs on that torque wrench.
    Tell em Hotrod
    Wait till you hear the ................

    And make sure you use Purple locktite to hold for vibrations on the sporty
    Git a Dang Manual if yer gonna play with mechanicin.
    It will show you what to do.
    Hope it don't leak or slip....

    Did you check for wear, or loose parts while you was in there.

    Yes I looked for wear, and all looked pretty good except the starter drive gear. There were a couple of teeth that looked a little wore, but I don't have the time to tear into that at the moment. As far as the clutch slipping, not too worried about that one. Thanks though dude..:D

    Its the same principle for any sporster.:banghead::banghead: Good grief call your Harley dealer then. Any good HD mechanic will tell you Center out bottom to top like the dia. shows and start with the larger side first. :gah:

    I did a post recently on a NOrthern Tool Digital Torque wrench that sells for 100.00 that was on sell for 40.00
    It does INch lbs, foot lbs and NM lbs.
    With it all you had to do was set it and listen for the beep. And it was super accuract. More accurate than a clicker torque wrench.

    I think you should just use a 3/8 dr ratchet and tighten it down just before it snaps. :D

    Yep, and the way you know when to stop is when it just starts to tighten down a little be easier then STOP! :rolleyes:

    The cool thing about aluminum is just before they break you can hear that sound of the aluminum stretching then bang, to late. :roflmao:
