When I was young I always rode shovels but really wanted a pan.Maybe after this one.I am really happy as I just rode the old girl up&down the driveway. The engine knock as I thought turned out to be just the compensating sprocket nut. Most of the oil leaks were from the primary cover being loose. The cross tube between the rocker boxes is leaking.I would like to fix a few of these things then I will tear her down but The motor runs pretty well.So again I am pretty happy to know I am starting with something good.

Not sure what the last post means or where it comes from.Anyway the project is coming along. The frame is gone to have the hardtail welded on.In the mean time I am cleaning parts and collecting stuff I want to use on the bike.I have a springer frontend, a round oil tank, a sporster gas tank, flat rear fender, and making a tall sissy bar and I have a pair of apes for her.I have tear down pics but they are boring.I will post pics of the mock up when I can.I love it when a plan comes together.

Viking, post #25 is a spammer - one of our trusty moderators will get rid of him. Nice project bike & thanks for the pics. Sounds like you are paring things down to essentials. I have a bobber built around a '77 FLH motor. Good luck on your project!

I haven't done anything new except put on a spring solo seat I bought from redtailleather.com It is an antique brown hand made seat. what a nice piece of work it is beautiful. It is so nice when you pay for something and you get what you paid for and are happy with it.I will update pics soon as the weather here gets better and I can get some work done on her.Next is the jockey shift and foot clutch.

Jockey shift . . oh yeah! Have considered doing that to mine, but I'd need to get a front brake first. Jockey shift & no front brake - now that's truly suicide!

Yeah, he looks pretty young. Great picture! You mean you still have the t-shirt you wore in the picture? What happened to the panhead?
