Whoa...lets back up a little here now.:) You hit the road for a week (never mind 3-5 weeks) on your bike and get back to me.

and a good tent you picked too. Friend has one loves it....it's on my list for the solo trips I take. My wife does not like sleeping on the ground so it's either a room or the tent trailer.

Looks like a good tent. Last year when our group headed for the Wall in DC we started out sleeping on the ground in our tents. Man, setting up a tent in the dark when your tired really sucks. A tent trailer would have been nice or even those KOA cabinets that we started using were great.
I pulled a cargo trailer on our trip which was not bad. Here is a pic of the trailer with my old bike that I rode on the trip.

Bringing the tent for back up.

Pretty sure hotels aren't as available as the lower 48. Also I usually take my trips in the laste spring and early fall because weather isn't as extreme and kids are in school. Going to AK prime time summer time and the highways and hotels are gonne be busy. Back up tent and sleeping bags are at least a better then nothing option. Murphies law and worst case scenario:).

Looks like a slick set up. I'm pretty sure I don't have the nerves for it.
