Here is my little project, all for a dang horn that I'm still not sure I like the looks of but the damm thing is sure loud. :D

Hotroadking that's how I drained it, pinched off one side then pulled the other off and drained into a can. Problem was my hose was to short, should have gone and picked up a longer one and then the dang thing would not fit and was dumping gas, :cussing:
I should have done what Chuck said, put some vacuum on the tank and drained it there, oh well. :(

Tanks back on and bought some hose clamps and a new gas line for the cross over, (preventive maintenance) looked old.

That should look pretty nice. Are you going to use PPG Vibrance?? That is what I use on mine, it is pearl based.

PPG Vibrance is a pearl based paint that is really nice. If you use that kind of paint, it will look one color at a specific angle, then once the lighting changes it will look a different color or will see different colors in the paint. An example is with mine, the orange stripe looks really plain in the dark of under fake light, but get it under the sun, it will sparkle with all sorts of metallic and you will see other color, in mine I can see green tints, some yellows and even a hint of browns, looks amazing.

    Vibrance is cool but

JMO this is a classic bike
    with a retro look and
    deserves a retro paint job...

    Vibrance is a bit shiney
    new age, nice but not
    era correct.....

The red with white side highlights
    looks very good,

It is spendy, I paid $400 for 1 pint of one color. If you are looking to be flashy, this is the stuff to go with, if you are looking to be boring, then go with a standard paint job. I like it because there are not a lot of people around here that are using it on their bike. Kind of separates me from the others I guess.

Will probably stay with the stock color Suede green and black as your right it is a retro looking bike and messing with the color can affect the value.

Harley's just do not hold their value like they once did, theya re still better than the others by a long shot, but not as well as lets say 15 years ago. Too many of them out there, and there are so many different people in the aftermarket business. Accessibility is too high.
