removing catalytic convertor

    Some of us don't use TTS. My engine on my bike is stock and I'm putting out 98 HP and 117 lbs of Torque.

    Yes, one reason some people like the X-Pipe or Jackpot pipes is they have a similar shape to stock so they accept your original heat shields. There are a lot of different comparisons out there between X-Pipes, Jackpots, V&H, S&S (made by Khrome Werks), and all seem to equally perform very well. You can't go wrong with any of these. I used V&H on a previous bike and had no complaints either.

    Getting back to the original question of:
    I recommend NOT getting rid of the catalytic converter but instead using a replacement exhaust system. Keep the original system on the shelf, you may need when you sell or trade in your bike in the future. Here is California many dealers won't take trade-ins of bikes that don't have the cat, or will dock you the cost of putting on a new set of stock pipes.
