Nope but I've ridden all day long in the Pacific Northwest Cold hard rain, nothing worse. We carry our rain gear most the time. And, nobody but nobody with a lick of sense rides with boots that have just leather soles. :D

living out here in cowboy country a good pair of boots was pretty much mandatory years ago. We got a bootmaker up here. Alberta Boots..good boots for riding horses..not so good for riding bikes. I tried the leather soled thing for a week or so..as HRK sez ...doesn't work. I put rubber soles on 'em and when the top of the left boot got wore out from shifter rash I used duct tape..this was before Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. I laugh at those days now. Now it's Gore Tex Red Wings..[ten years and two soles later] and the backup pair is a 50 dollar pair of waterproof ropers from bass pro..don't look so good but keeps the water out.

The best pair of boots I have ever owned for riding were a pair of Corbin boots I bought in Sturgis in 96. Replaced the soles on em once when they wore out and need to find a good boot repair guy again to get em resoled. They were like sleepers after I got em broke in. Dang, Corbin quit making em.

Ya know if you have worn Cowboy boots for years. Its gonna be next to Impossible to git a person out of Cowboy boots.
No strings, no zippers, easy on and easy off.

Me too Marc and they didnt need a breakin. I also own a pair of Frye Harness boots. I wear them just for kicking around and very short rides. I love Frye boots from the '70's.

When it rains he monsoons here and you put yer feet down
They will be under water. See how those zippers work for you then.
I got boots with zippers. They are fine as long as it don't rain.
Buddy has a pair of Harley 11-13" boots with zippers.
His feet was soaked with the zippers.
I want boots I don't have to take gators with me.
And Cowboy work boots are hard to beat.

Come on man I gotta call bull on that one. I ride here in the Pacific Northwest where it rains here all the time. Nobody in their right mode would ride when the water is over your boots. My HD riding boots has a flap on the inside that seals em and the leather is sealed and I have never had wet feet. Your buddy is probably wearing them low top girly looking boots.

I don't like zippers but those with zippers look like tactical boots that are waterproof.
Don't know if anybody here carries them.
