It's 6:30 AM and just woke up I can see it's going to be a fine day out, wished I could be riding.
They took me into surgery a little after 4PM and surgery lasted 1 1/2 hours. Was feeling pretty sick when I first came to so they gave me some drugs, that worked. The surgery went well and the Doc came by and said he had to remove big chunks and some bone. At 7 PM they had me up on my feet was a bit unsteady at first. By 8 or a little after they told me to go home and sleep. So wife helped me get dressed and the nurse wheeled me out to the car. I have to back in for check ups and to see the surgeon in three weeks.
Won't be able to ride for a while, probably for at least 6-8 weeks:( that sucks but hopefully it will be pain free now. Still would not change my 7,000 mile trip back east made to many lasting friendships and got to meet HarleysLR cause that was one of the better parts on the trip. Plus got to see my sister in NC, been 20 years.
They want me to start tapering off the pain meds and that would be good. I still don't have full use of my left foot do to the nerve damage and the doc said they want to keep an eye on it and have my reg doc check it.
They also want me doing more walking in a week. Hmmm guess I'll be spending time at the mall  with the wife as you'll get killed if you walk on the roads around where we live.
But the good news is it went well during surgery.
Also want to thank all who were thinking of me and for the prayers :)

Hi HarleysLR, no didn't hear from any of the Black Sheep, nor from anyone in the chapter. Might be because they didn't keep me overnight.

Thanks Ashley, got some swelling from the surgery and the soreness from the surgery is kicking in but the extreme pain that was there is gone. Still have some what, what they call foot drop in the left foot and hopefully over time that will het better.
