OK so you had valve seals put in, if they messed with pushrods
then thats one thing, only way I see a pushrod getting bent is
Improper install (and that should have reared it's head early on)
valve float overrevved, missed shift, causing valve to piston interference

Were these adjustable or fixed pushrods.

Buddy has an ElBruto 113 and I saw a rod get bent, in fact bent that
sucker until it cracked in two, poked a hole in the pushrod tube, oil
everywhere, funny thing is the pushrod popped back together and
as long as it was running it was fine, once he shut it off the pushrod
    split.

The cause, hot rodding it, burn out take off spinning the wheels
and a missed shift, bam, bent/broken pushrod...

Ugly, but no over revving in this case.

Then I'd go back to the last shop and have them fix it...

Don't just blow it off, it was fine before that and they
were the last people in the engine and it was running fine
when you brought it in san's oil consumption.

THey had to listen look and inspect prior to working
on it and perhaps they will take responsibility.

HD engines are bigg fuggin tractor engines,
they can take a shit pot full of beating and survive
    and I"ve seen it before.

    So...

Call the guy, if he balks, then get it looked at by a pro
fixed and take him to small claims court and prove it

    or

If he mans up, take it in to him to fix, shit happens
could be a part took a dump, nothing he did, or bad
assembly, or they didn't put the valve back in correctly

In any case they were working on the valve train, so
leave it alone (or peek if you must ) and call the shop
    that did the work...

JB - You need some vacation therapy. You & HR should just come out next month and relax. Every weekend in Sept has something going on - Burning Man (from a distance), Rib Cook-off, Air Races, Street Vibes. Or there is just riding the desert on the bike/quads, shooting (I need to get extra practice for elk season anyway), street riding (got 4 street bikes now: FLHR, XL1200C, Suzi DR650SE, Honda Rebel 250cc), site seeing. Seems like you may need a break.......

Listen the way I see it .if the butcher fuup he should be accountable for the repair .if jb beat the shit out of it and it broke I hope you looked good doing it .like I did when I broke mine. But honestly I don't think he did because he has never lied to me and I would think he would have had enough balls to man up to it .anyways at this point .something has to happen it ain't gonna fix itself.

I have the Road Glide apart. And as suspected, I found a trashed lifter and it destroyed my cam. Check it out.

I am going to take the rocker covers off and inspect the rest of the valve train to make sure that the rest of the valve train is undamaged, paying extra attention to the corresponding rocker rollers. Also, I am going to take the advice of BaggerPaul and start to use different oil.

Geez, who would have thought. I'm glad I switched away from Dino years ago.

It's not that it is dino oil, it's mainly because of the lack of zinc. I am going to an oil that is fortified with zinc.

Look at the cam set in my post. Notice the frosting or milky sheen on them? Lack of zinc contributes to that. The failure of the lifter isn't related to which I use, that is a result of over tightening of the push rod.

I would think that the MoCo would insure enough zinc is in the approved, certified, designed for HD, dino motor oil. But then again, you engine was modified.

The more I read and learn about the 20-50 oil from Schaeffer the more I like it. Was at a poker run yesterday and at the end the Schaeffer reps where there. They have the best additive package available for Harley than any other v-Twin oil package. It's less expensive than Harley oil, Redline and Mobile 1 V-Twin oil.

Maddog started using it and the lifter noise went away. Says his 110 is running much better and quieter.

Here is a spec sheet on it, they do use Zinc in it.

Just wondering if the clutch will be affected. On the data sheet it has a disclaimer about clutch engagement. What's Maddog got to say about his clutch action?
